3 Cozy Pumpkin Recipes to Sip This Season

Simple, feel-good blends for energy, comfort, and a little seasonal magic

Pumpkin season isn’t about jumping on a trend, it’s about leaning into warmth, comfort, and the little rituals that make cooler days feel a little softer. Around here, that often means blending something nourishing in the morning or curling up with a cozy mug in the afternoon.

This week, I’m sharing three of my favorite pumpkin drinks, all made with real ingredients, no complicated steps, and just enough spice to make it feel like fall in a glass. Whether you’re craving something creamy, something protein-packed, or something warm and cozy, you’ll find a gentle go-to below. Each recipe serves 1.

1. Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

A creamy, anti-inflammatory blend that’s as cozy as it is refreshing

This smoothie is full of fall flavor without being heavy. Made with soy milk, pumpkin purée, almond butter, hemp seeds, and pumpkin spice, it’s a creamy, nourishing option when you want a quick breakfast or snack that still feels grounding, without weighing you down.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup soy milk (or any milk you love)

  • ½ cup pureed pumpkin

  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds

  • 1 tbsp almond butter

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice

  • Pinch of cinnamon (plus more for garnish)

  • Pinch of sea salt

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender.

  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  3. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon if you like a little extra spice on top.

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1 scoop collagen or protein powder

  • Frozen cauliflower, flaxseed, or chia for added fiber

  • Pumpkin seed butter instead of almond butter

2. Pumpkin Pie Protein Smoothie

A protein-rich smoothie that tastes like pie but fuels like breakfast

This smoothie is a little richer and more filling, perfect for mornings when you want something cozy but need it to carry you through. The frozen banana makes it creamy, and the vanilla protein powder ties everything together.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • ½ cup pureed pumpkin

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to your blender.

  2. Blend until smooth.

  3. Pour into a glass and sip slowly.

Optional Toppings:

  • Sprinkle with cinnamon or pumpkin spice

  • Add raw pumpkin seeds for a little crunch

  • Top with a dollop of coconut cream if you want something dessert-like

Warm Version:

Heat the almond milk, pumpkin, and vanilla in a small saucepan until warm, then blend with the rest of the ingredients. It’s a game-changer on chilly mornings.

3. Pumpkin Spice Latte (Homemade)

No syrups, no artificial flavors…just real pumpkin and cozy spice

Skip the coffee shop lines and make this beautiful latte at home with brewed coffee or chai, almond milk, pumpkin, maple syrup, and vanilla. Blended until creamy and frothy, it’s the perfect companion for journaling, reading, or a quiet pause in your day.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup brewed coffee or chai

  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 2 tbsp pureed pumpkin

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Brew your coffee and set aside.

  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir together the pumpkin, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice.

  3. Slowly whisk in almond milk and bring to a gentle simmer.

  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.

  5. Transfer milk mixture to a blender and pulse until frothy (or use an immersion blender).

  6. Pour the milk mixture into your hot coffee, spooning the foam on top.

  7. Add whipped cream or a sprinkle of spice, if desired.

Notes:

  • Use coconut milk for a creamier texture

  • Replace the coffee with chai for a caffeine-free version

  • Add an extra spoonful of pumpkin for more richness

A Note from My Kitchen

Each of these recipes is part of my seasonal rhythm, small ways to support my body and bring a little joy into the day. They’re simple, adaptable, and made with real ingredients you probably already have at home.

If you're looking for a gentle way to lean into fall, I hope one of these blends becomes a favorite of yours, too. You don’t have to do it all, sometimes it’s just about choosing something that feels cozy and kind in the moment.

xx, Diana
