What I’m Drinking, Moving & Loving This Week
Friday, 25 July 2025
Hi friend,
This week felt like a tender one. I received some difficult news, and it made me want to stay close to the people I love most, to spend more time hugging, talking, and just being there.
At the same time, I felt myself needing to pause from social media for a few days. Not because the news and my online work were connected, but because sometimes showing up on social can feel like the hardest part of what I do.
If I could spend all day connecting with clients, sharing recipes, and offering support, I would. That part fills me up. But as a business owner, there’s also the part where I have to market myself. That’s where things can start to feel a little heavy.
So, I stepped back.
And now? I feel refreshed, grounded, and ready to pour back into the people who need me, including you.
Drinking: Cucumber & Lime Chia Fresca
One thing that’s been keeping me cool and grounded this week is this simple, refreshing drink. It feels like a glass of calm, perfect for sipping in the garden.
Recipe: Cucumber & Lime Chia Fresca (serves 2)
½ cucumber, chopped
3 cups water
2 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp maple sugar
1 tbsp chia seeds
8 ice cubes
Blend cucumber, lime juice, and maple sugar with water until smooth.
Pour into a pitcher and stir in chia seeds. Let it sit for 10 minutes so the chia softens.
Add ice to glasses, pour the fresca over top, and enjoy.
I sat outside with mine this week, feeling the cool glass in my hands and the breeze on my face, and for those few minutes, it felt like the whole world slowed down.
Loving: The Choice to Step Back
The thing I loved most this week wasn’t a product or even a new ritual. It was giving myself permission to take a breath.
Stepping back didn’t mean giving up. It meant gathering my energy again.
And now that I’ve done that, I feel recharged and ready to show up again for my family, my clients, and this beautiful community we’re building here.
A Gentle Invitation
If you’ve been feeling a little stretched thin lately, I hope this is your reminder: it’s okay to pause. It’s okay to refill your cup first.
